⛳️ Back to a Weekly Format

we're going back to 1x/week for now

Hey fellow golfer, welcome to the weekly edition of the Red Birdie Golf newsletter.

At this point we decided to scale back to just a weekly newsletter as we decide what direction to take the site. Thanks for being with us to this point!

Here’s what we got for you this week:

Dad Joke

The Preacher’s Best Shot

There was this preacher who was an avid golfer.

Every chance he could get, he could be found on the golf course swinging away. It was an obsession.

One Sunday was a picture perfect day for golfing.

The sun was out, no clouds in the sky, and the temperature was just right.

The preacher was in a quandary as to what to do, and shortly, the urge to play golf overcame him.

He called an assistant to tell him that he was not feeling well and could not make it to church to, packed the car up, and drove three hours to a golf course where no one would recognize him.

Happily, he began to play the course.

An angel up above was watching the preacher.

He went to God and said, "Look at the preacher. Should we teach him a lesson?"

God nodded in agreement.

The preacher teed up on the first hole.

He swung at the ball and it sailed effortlessly through the air and landed right in the cup, three hundred and fifty yards away.

A picture perfect hole-in-one.

He was amazed and excited.

The angel was a little shocked. He turned to God and said, "Begging Your pardon, but I thought you were going to teach him a lesson?"

God smiled. "Think about it -- who can he tell?"

NEW GEAR MINI REVIEW

The Cleveland Launcher XL Halo is a golf club designed for maximum distance and forgiveness.

It features a larger head with a deeper center of gravity and a high MOI to help golfers hit straighter shots and reduce slices and hooks.

The Launcher XL Halo has a HiBore Crown which lowers the center of gravity for higher launch, lower spin, and more distance.

The clubface is made of titanium, which is strong and lightweight, allowing for more weight to be positioned around the perimeter of the clubhead for greater forgiveness.

In addition, the Launcher XL Halo has a Speed Frame Face, which is designed to flex at impact for faster ball speeds and more distance.

It also has a shaft made by Project X, which is known for its stability and consistency.

Pros

  • The Cleveland Launcher XL Halo has a larger head with a deeper center of gravity and a high MOI, which helps golfers hit straighter shots and reduces slices and hooks.

  • The HiBore Crown lowers the CG for higher launch and lower spin, resulting in more distance.

  • The Speed Frame Face flexes at impact for faster ball speeds and more distance.

  • The titanium clubface is strong and lightweight, allowing for more weight to be positioned around the perimeter of the clubhead for greater forgiveness.

Cons

  • The club may not be as workable or versatile as other, more traditional, golf clubs.

  • The club is designed primarily for distance and forgiveness, so golfers who prioritize feel and control may not find it to be the best option for their game.

Until Next Week!
