Hey fellow golfer, welcome to the Monday edition of the Red Birdie Golf newsletter, here’s what we got for you today:

TOURNAMENT RECAP

PGA TOUR

The PNC Championship is not an official PGA Tour event, and we did not cover in last week’s newsletter because it would be a difficult event to predict or to even write about based on who plays.

It is a tournament that pairs a former Major Champion/TPC Champion with one of their family members to compete against other family duos.

This year’s most notable father/son pairing was Tiger and Charlie Woods.

Bernhard Langer, paired with his son Jason, won the PNC for a record-tying fifth time.

The duo overcame a 3-stroke deficit on Sunday to eclipse Matt Kuchar, who started the day in the lead, and stay ahead of Team David Duval that finished in second.

LIV TOUR

The LIV Tour is still out until January though the league and its funders have a lot to cheer about even now.

Jon Rahm has joined LIV giving the Tour one of the best two golfers in the world to go along with Koepka who still seems to be in the hunt for every major.

I know we listed it last week as well, but this is one of the more important things that has happened recently.

DP TOUR

Louis Oosthuizen took home the win at the Mauritius Open this past weekend on a course he actually helped design.

He began Sunday with a 1-shot lead and finished with a 69 to extend that lead to 2 shots.

It looked like he might fold under the pressure to start the day, but pulled himself together to finish with a good final round score.

We were pulling for Wilco Nienaber who came in T47, but the guy most people thought would, Louis Oosthuizen, pulled out the W.

The Tour will take a break for Christmas and come back January 11.

LPGA TOUR

There is no LPGA Tour Event until January.

GOLF FASHION

The name is a little unsettling, and the fashion is a little different, but for some reason this brand just works.

You can tell from the first glance at the Psycho Bunny brand that they are a little unconventional.

The “Bunny Skull and Bones” logo is a little out there and sometimes very prominent on each piece.

As far as pants go, you can find anything from a normal pair of regular khakis, to a pair of bright pink pants with dark blue bunny skull and bones logos running up and down the legs.

The pants are very comfortable.

Many companies are moving strictly to the tighter, form-fitting pants, and they are just not comfortable for everyone.

Psycho Bunny fits well, but they are not as snug as many of the other “stylish” golf pants out there.

The bottom line is that you can go conservative or crazy with Psycho Bunny pants, but either way they are really comfortable and really high quality products.

This brand is not for everyone, especially at one of the higher price points out there, but it is a good golf pant.

If you can either embrace the logo or tolerate it, you will get to the quality and comfort for which this brand is known.

DAD JOKE OF THE WEEK

Forwarded Phone Calls

An office employee, knowing his boss was off for the day, transferred the office telephone to his own cell phone and took it with him to play golf.

He was doing a find job of answering calls and playing at the same time and nobody really noticed he was not at his desk.

At one point, his boss called and asked how everything was going while he was out.

The employee said things were fine, and that it was just a normal day at the office.

The boss then said, can you move a little faster I'm in the foursome behind you.
