⛳️ A Quick Peek at Greyson Clothiers
Hey fellow golfer, welcome to the Monday edition of the Red Birdie Golf newsletter, here’s what we got for you today:
TOURNAMENT RECAP
Irish Open - European Tour
There was no PGA Tour event to recap this past weekend, but the European Tour held the Irish Open with some pretty big PGA names teeing it up.
It looked like Rory had a good shot to win going into the final round, but a 74 on the final day took him out of contention pretty quickly
Vincent Norman took home the win with a 65 on Sunday and Shane Lowry finishing T3 and Luke Donald and Billy Horschel finishing T45.
With the opening of the NFL season, college football in its second week, and the U.S. Open crowing its champions, many Americans probably missed the Irish Open, but there was some really good golf played this past weekend.
GOLF FASHION
There are a lot of new golf clothing brands coming out especially as golf continues to make huge gains in popularity.
Greyson Clothiers began in 2015 by founder Charlie Schaefer as a brand that is focused on style that functions on the golf course.
The result is a timeless line of clothing that can be worn on and off the course.
The cuts are comfortable and give you freedom of movement while also fitting well and looking nice.
Greyson clothes are a little more expensive than your normal Under Armour, Nike, and Adidas, but the clothes are more stylish and made with better quality.
You get private label type quality in a public brand.
Pros
A timeless style with great quality material and good cuts.
Fashionable off the golf course and on it.
Fits true-to-size and gives you room to swing and move around.
Make clothes for other sports as well.
Cons
Somewhat expensive compared to other golf brands.
Not as modern looking as some golfers are looking for.
DAD JOKE OF THE WEEK
KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN
After a particularly poor round, a golfer spotted a lake as he walked despondently up the 18th.
He looked at his caddie and said, "I've played so badly all day, I think I'm going to drown myself in that lake."
The caddie, quick as a flash, replied, "I’m not sure you could keep your head down that long."
Until Wednesday!
