⛳️ TaylorMade P770 Irons Mini Review

Standard or Phantom Black 🔥🔥🔥

Hey fellow golfer, welcome to the Friday edition of the Red Birdie Golf newsletter, here’s what we got for you today:

FRIDAY GOLF TIP

Always Take Practice Swings Behind The Ball

When you are playing a round of golf, taking a few practice swings before each shot is not only normal, it is advised.

Practicing behind the ball gives you the chance to think about your shot without worrying about contact, it allows you to not worry about alignment, and it gives you a much more panoramic view of the shot.

Your practice swing gives you a chance to freely prepare for your shot without worrying about anything but the swing.

COURSE OF THE WEEK

Albany Golf Club

Albany Golf Club is the home of the Hero World Challenge that is hosted by Tiger Woods in the Bahamas each year.

This championship golf course is beautiful and well taken care of all year.

This is a challenging golf course that combines desert conditions with a links course and includes some good water challenges along with great scenery throughout.

Watch this course this weekend as Tiger makes his return here.

The Bahamas are filled with beautiful islands, and Albany Golf Club is one of the nicest resorts and golf courses in the country.

NEW GEAR MINI REVIEW

The P 770 irons are still some of the best on the market in 2023.

They are players distance irons that include some of the more attractive forgiveness features you will find on a set of players clubs.

TaylorMade’s speedfoam is injected to the face so that you get the benefits of distance from the hollow construction and the feel of a solid club.

You will also find tungsten weighting throughout the set so that the clubs are a little easier to hit, have a higher MOI, and give you a higher launch.

These irons also have a progressive variable thickness pattern so that the most common mishits on each iron are covered and given more distance and accuracy.

You almost get a players distance iron look and feel with the distance accuracy of a game improvement iron.

Pros

  • The compact shape and nice lines make them one of the best looking players irons out there.

  • Provide great distance and feel with the speedfoam injection and strong thin clubface.

  • The tungsten weighting helps to provide a high launch and makes these irons effortless to hit.

  • You get really good distance and accuracy on mishits.

Cons

  • They lack the spin to make them overly workable and they do not hold greens as well as some of the other irons.

  • The features are not a traditional “players irons” features which can throw some lower handicap golfers off.

Until Monday!
